Piazza Hospitality was founded in 2001, specializing in the development and management of hotels, restaurants and spas in premier locations.

Piazza Hospitality built the award winning boutique luxury Hotel Healdsburg, The Spa at Hotel Healdsburg and Pizzando restaurant in Healdsburg California, in the heart of Sonoma County wine country. It now oversees the operations and management of the property.

In 2010, Piazza Hospitality developed and debuted the acclaimed LEED Gold h2hotel and Spoonbar restaurant, a sister property to Hotel Healdsburg in Healdsburg, and now manages all h2hotel and Spoonbar operations.


A hallmark of this progressive company is its commitment to extraordinary, one-of-a-kind architectural design. As such, Piazza Hospitality boasts an established and exceptionally qualified team with decades of accomplishment in the development, management, marketing and sales, food and beverage, and spa arenas. Expertise includes development strategy, detailed planning services, construction, financial management including advanced accounting and analysis systems, and launching of and on-going promotion/operations of projects.

Piazza Hospitality was founded by Paolo Petrone, hospitality and restaurant entrepreneur, Merritt Sher, founder of Terranomics Development, a pioneer in commercial real estate in the United States, and Circe Sher, development, public relations, sales and marketing. Supported by a strong team of experienced finance, management and F & B leaders, development projects and management services are overseen by Piazza Hospitality CEO Paolo Petrone and President Circe Sher. Daniele Petrone, as Vice President of Development, leads all new development projects for Piazza Hospitality.
